Exeon takes the next step towards comprehensive cybersecurity

Press Release - Zurich, October 13, 2020.

Exeon expands its detection & response solution ExeonTrace. ExeonTrace can now analyze network, system and application log data for AI-powered cyber threat detection. ExeonTrace automatically combines this data and provides the analyst with an overall view.

Zurich-based cybersecurity company Exeon Analytics is expanding its network monitoring solution. The detection & response software "ExeonTrace", which specializes in automated detection and elimination of cyber threats, is getting new functions and application areas. With the launch of the "Xlog" module, a variety of other security data can now be integrated and analyzed with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) in addition to the existing network data. With this approach, Exeon unifies and simplifies the automatic monitoring of IT infrastructure and improves detection and response capabilities to cyberattacks and other threats.

The new Xlog module enables users to gain visibility into their entire IT infrastructure, setting ExeonTrace apart from traditional Network Detection & Response (NDR) solutions. ExeonTrace now allows the integration of additional security systems, such as those for endpoint monitoring (EDR) or intrusion detection (IDS), as well as other security-related data, for example from antivirus or access management programs. This additional data is correlated, combined into an overall picture, and analyzed using AI and threat-specific algorithms. On the one hand, this provides users with a detailed, central overview of their IT infrastructure, and on the other hand, cyber threats can be detected faster and better and, above all, investigated and eliminated. Exeon thus presents an innovative method for IT monitoring that did not exist on the market until now.

Dr. David Gugelmann, founder and CEO of Exeon, is pleased: "With Xlog, we are taking the decisive step from Network Detection & Response (NDR), in the direction of Extended Detection & Response (XDR), as all security-relevant data and systems can now be evaluated and monitored centrally and with predefined, cross-data source use cases. This allows to detect previously undetected attacks and relieves the burden on security teams."

The Xlog module can be used as an additional module of the ExeonTrace Network Detection & Response solution starting October 20. More information can be found here: https://exeon.com/product/xlog
